Meet Our Staff
Tammy Abee Blom, Pastor
Tammy serves as pastor of HSUMC. She received her undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University, her Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, and was ordained in the Baptist tradition. In 2016, SCUMC appointed Tammy as a local church pastor.
Tammy’s preaching style is teaching narrative which basically means, “She loves a good story and tells a good story.” When not preparing a sermon, Tammy partners with Welcome Table to serve the food insecure, with Killingsworth to assist women in transition, and with Heyward St Preschool to oversee a high quality, award winning preschool program.
Tammy is married to Doug, a specialist in microscopy. She has two daughters. One is a software developer and the other is pursuing a degree in early childhood education.
Administrative Assistant & Financial Secretary
Supports the day-to-day operations of the church and preschool, coordinates communication, and assists with scheduling and office needs.

Supports the financial operations of the church and preschool.
